We understand the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic; our goal is to provide our clients the experience they seek without compromising their safety or the safety of our staff. We are adhering to all COVID-19 guidelines and timelines, as issued by Kauai County and the Climbing Wall Association.

BEFORE YOUR CLIMB STARTS
· After you are hooked into your harness, stay in the harness area. Wait until the operator tells you to go to the climbing area.
· Don’t step on the Auto-belay cable while you wait to start.
DURING YOUR CLIMB
· Stay on the climbing route for your station.
· Don’t cross over to put yourself directly beneath or above other climbers.
· Don’t climb without shoes or a top.
· Don’t climb beyond the wall top. Don’t go beyond chest-height to the wall top.
- Children as young as 5 years old can participate (Ages 5-7 Must be accompanied by a participating adult)
- Must weigh 45 lbs minimum, 250 lbs maximum to wear climbing harness.
- Climber must be a minimum height of 42 inches.
- Climber must fit in the harness to be allowed to climb.
- Participants must wear footwear that attaches over the top of the foot in two or more places. (Closed toe tennis shoes are highly recommended.)
- Participation is prohibited if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Participation while pregnant is not permitted
- Facial Coverings will be required for entry and must be worn during harness orientation. Guests are permitted to remove the facial covering while climbing as long as its readily available for use in the event of close contact from Staff.
- Social distancing of 6 ft shall be adhered to until climber is ready to harness
Our Safety Protocols
We understand the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic; our goal is to provide our clients the experience they seek without compromising their safety or the safety of our staff. We are adhering to all COVID-19 guidelines and timelines, as issued by Kauai County and the Climbing Wall Association.
- We are starting with lower than needed climber capacity limits. This will allow everyone to get use the new procedures as well as ensure climbers have adequate climbing time.
- We added a sanitizer station at the entrance.
- We will have a rigorous cleaning schedule throughout the day as well as deep cleaning at the close of each day.
- We will encourage our employees to use conservative social distancing behavior while not at work to reduce their exposure to COVID-19 and therefore the exposure to our clients.
- All staff will receive oversight / training / auditing by management to insure they understand how to follow these guidelines, and those set forth by Kauai County.
- Staff will be supplied with the necessary PPE and cleaning supplies needed for the guidelines.
Climber Intake Procedure
- When you arrive for your climb, please wait outside of the climbing area and maintain social distancing.
- First, conduct a COVID-19 Self-Assessment. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, do not enter the climbing wall for the safety our staff and fellow members.
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Chills
- Repeated shaking with chills
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Sore throat
- Loss of taste or smell
- Diarrhea
- Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit
- Known close contact with a person who is a lab confirmed to have COVID-19

- A staff member will confirm scheduled climb, collect the intake forms and a no contact temperature check.
- When called upon, wash your hands at our sanitation station and then proceed into the queue wearing a face covering. If you do not have a face covering, you may not enter the climbing area. We will have disposable face coverings available for sale should you forget yours. Face masks should remain on at all times. If you have difficulty breathing while on a climb, you may pull your mask down. Your mask must be back in place when your feet touch the ground.
